Easy Way To Make Bonus Money When Fishing (Drying Maomao)

How do I maximize profit from selling fish?

So I finally got into fishing (been taming horses thus far). I purchased a boat and have been afk fishing near Velia. I have nodes connected from the fishing area to velia and then from velia all the way to altinova. No matter where I go to sell the fish I always get the same prices around 106% to 130%.

How do I get more for them? Does my fishing level need to be higher, my trading level? I've heard of people selling fish for 3x to 8x the listed value.

you need to use the travelling distance (you can get up to 51% more value with distance bonus) (there is also a special merchant that can buy fish for A LOT HIGHER like 200% (but u never know where he is)(he always move) so it is not reliable at all (i never used it personnaly)

personnaly i send from velia to altinova and i make 28% distance bonus (total of 158% base price)

ALSO you can bargain after that, which give 0.5% more value per Trading skill you have (i have none)

The Imperial Fish Traders are not in game yet. And they don't move. He pays 200% to 250% based on how many fish left he wants to buy, and he only buys a set amount of fish every few hours, just certain blue/yellow ones.

all of the above. fish in connected nodes. sell in the farthest connected node you can from where you fished them up at. Bargain and profit!

At least Iron_Clad gets the concepts of time value and opportunity costs.

However Trading fish to a trader is only the most profitable thing to do with Gold (Yellow) Fish. All Blue, Green and White catches should be dried and used in cooking recipes. This is the method used by Top Fishermen like MaoMaoPrince.

Distance bonus as fuck man. I fish at the gold spot in altinova and sell everything in Trent. I have altinova connected all the way to Trent from heidel to velia to Olvia to florin to Calphalon to Trent. I know it's the long way but I hit all the major towns that way for guild trading quests as well. From altinova to Trent is a 49% distance bonus, on top of that most of the fist always sell for 130% base price there giving you a sellable price of basically 180%. I have 80 inventory slots and a epheria rod that gives 90 casts. On one full invent I have made 2 million silver. There are 2 other trade routes that give more distance as of right now. I don't remember one of them but the most you can get is from iliya island to Trent. It's 55%, the only reason I don't do that one is because I have to get on my boat and manually travel to velia and then get on my horse and travel to Trent. It takes a lot longer especially if I have to wake up for work and don't have time to manually steer my boat. I would rather just auto path my fastest horse. On my horse with 135% speed it takes me about a half hour MAX to get from altinova to Trent and then to heidel (my main town.) If you are on a cart it will take about 45 minutes.

On top of that you get to train horses which is a nice plus.

u use wagon to trade fish?! why not just send them via Transport?! its so much easier lol xD

Also do u use the Altinova Hotspot?!

also i suggest Altionva to epheria as distance bonus its = 46% bonus and you ca ship it directly (reducing the time to manage AND the the cost of Transport)
